I was scouring the internet for ideas and bread recipes when I came across a video and jotted down her suggestions! Of course, now that I want it now for this blog I cannot find it for the life of me! I tried her recipe and had to tweak it slightly for how crazy cold it is right now up north but it worked out! My hubby begs for this bread now! Today we made the full recipe- two loaves and I am praying we can have enough to make it for 3 days! Easy 1 hour White Bread! In a large Electric Mixer, with a paddle, combine the following: 5 ¼ Cups Bread Flour (I tried all purpose and the taste was great but texture wasn’t) ¼ C White Sugar ½ Tablespoon Salt 1 ½ Tablespoon Instant Yeast Mix until combined. Change out Paddle to the Bread Dough Hook. On Medium Speed Stir in the following: 1 ½ Tablespoon Oil 2 Cups Hot Tap Water Mix for 1 Minute. Dough should be wet not just sticky but a little wet. If it is not wet keep the machine on and stir in 1 Tablespoon to ¼ C Water as needed. Mix for an additional 5 minutes on Medium. Spray a flat surface with non stick spray (do NOT use any flour!) and knead dough until smooth. Divide into 2 loaves and form into your desired shape. Pinch the dough together at the bottom so that the dough on top is flat and the bottom will also be flat. Gently drop your dough onto the flat surface to flatten the bottom of your loaf. I placed mine into bread pans- Cover with a towel, place in a warm area, and let rise at least 25 Minutes or until double in size. – My house is COLD right now so this took upwards of 45 minutes for me! Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake for 25 Minutes. The top of the loaf should make a hollow sound when tapping on it! Remove bread from oven and place on a cooling rack and allow to cool completely.
